Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?’” The Onward and Upward Empowerment Foundation exists today to answer that question. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to serve the disadvantaged population of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We concentrate our efforts on four major causes: scholarship, student retention, community impact and benevolence. Not only does our foundation operate with initiatives in place to support our causes, but our foundation also works with other local nonprofits to serve the needs of citizens throughout the greater Dallas area.
Our History
The Onward and Upward Empowerment Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which operates on the pillars of education, community, and benevolence. Our commitment to our community and other parts of the Dallas area is to enhance citizens’ economic, social, and political awareness.
The foundation’s primary focus is providing scholarships for academic excellence, and monetary assistance to students dealing with financial needs . To date, the foundation and chapter has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships. |
We presented the Mark Saunders Education Scholarship in the amount of $500 to Mr. Eliott Ford II, a graduate of Florida A&M University. |
